The game was initially released in America but due to Americas cultural dominance, it was easily released ion to the UK market and many other. A niche audience is a small audience specifically to do with a certain genre, that isn't mainstream. This shows that GTA V is not a niche production but a mainstream one, due to the amount of people who have purchased the game, or others in the series. A mainstream audience is where the product is aimed at a large audience, including old and new gamers. In GTA V you are able to play as three protagonists; Michael, Franklin and Trevor. Each of these characters live in different parts of town due to their background and wealth, they all have their own issues, attitudes, lifestyles, desires and goals. Each character has their own unique skillset which helps you during the game. Michael (Ned Luke) is a veteran bank robber, who has expert knowledge of being a criminal. Due to events which happened in Michael's backstory he is now retired and living in an unofficial type of witness protection. Michael has to deal with his family problems throughout his story lines as he has a wife who cannot stop spending money, and two kids who he doesn't understand. Michael has everything he wants but feels miserable because of it. Franklin (Shawn Fonteno) is a former street gangster who wants out of the gangster life and in to real opportunities and serious money. His current job is working as a repossession man for an Armenian Luxury car dealership, though this company runs scams on hotshots with new money, his boss sells people cars they cannot afford and have to be repossessed, which is Franklin's job. Trevor (Steven Ogg) is a habitual drug user who lives by his own rules, he is an extremely volatile individual, prone to destructive outbursts and violent rampages. He is a former criminal colleague of Michael's.
